Ninigi Tiger was born into a family in which her grandfather was a priest and her grandmother was a head priestess. She grew up surrounded by Shinto and Buddhist influences and began drawing at a young age under the influence of her cousin, who later became an animator. After graduating from the Fine Arts Faculty of Tama Art University and working as a freelance illustrator, Ninigi Tiger began her career as an artist in 2024. The artist specializes in similarities between modern anime and Edo period paintings, combining traditional Japanese influences with modern techniques such as airbrush and acrylic paint to reinterpret Edo paintings in her own contemporary imagination. She creates works with motifs of animals, which are considered lucky charms in East Asia. One of her most representative works is a series featuring tigers, which are a symbol of strength and embody the fighting spirit against various disasters. The animal figures depicted radiate a presence that can inspire the viewer.
