Julius Jenny was born in Germany and raised in Switzerland. From an early age, he was captivated by the strange and the eccentric. He was influenced by writers like H.P. Lovecraft and artists such as H.R. Giger, Zdzisław Beksiński, and Hieronymus Bosch, whose works left a lasting impact on his creative vision.

His artistic approach blends the old, the dark, and the surreal. He fuses the techniques of the old masters with imaginative explorations of the unknown. Working primarily with oil color, his paintings feature amorphous, speculative anatomy, inviting constant reinterpretation and challenging the viewer’s aesthetic sensibilities. By juxtaposing technical realism with unsettling motifs, he confronts the underlying aesthetic codes of contemporary Western society.
