In the four years that I worked on my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, I had the opportunity to develop and evolve my artistic practice.
By continuously mustering the courage to create art that is uncensored and raw, I gained the freedom to work intuitively and articulate my own opinions and feelings about the world of psychiatry and its approach to treating those declared “mentally ill”.
It is my goal to be openly critical of pharmaceutical companies and the profitable industry that has formed around them, as well as the lack of individualization of care, especially in residential treatment facilities.
Having experienced the counterproductive effects of some of these practices on individuals, it is important to me to address them through my art.
