Marcel Reich is an independent, distinctive artist and painter from Switzerland. He
explores the realm of the existential states of the human soul, like loneliness, fear,
pain, desire, love and hatred. His expressive portrayals of the damaged human
body are to be understood as criticism of contemporary culture as well as of
current political, social and technological developments.
Reich’s representational, large-format paintings could be described as a fusion of
realism, surrealism and expressionism. He applies a wide range of painting
techniques such as oil crayon, watercolors, ink, acrylic colors and oil on canvas.
